CHIMSS is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors, which is elected each year by CHIMSS Members.

Sarah is part of the NetApp Healthcare team serving in a Strategic Account Development position. Prior to joining NetApp, highlights of her career include 10+ years at Cerner and nearly a decade growing the Health IT divisions of two top publicly traded staffing firms, globally and in the US.
Throughout her career, Sarah has repeatedly driven herself and the teams she works with to exceed high revenue quotas by building and consistently engaging an extensive network of clinical and technical executive contacts within Health IT.
The focus of her team is to bridge the gap between project requirements and deadlines by helping our clients find the best platform for long term network availability and storage capabilities for all aspects of patient care.

Patrick J. Guffey, MD
Patrick is a pediatric anesthesiologist at the University of Colorado and the Associate Clinical Director of the anesthesiology department at Children’s Hospital Colorado. He is the IT clinical champion for perioperative services, and serves on numerous other IT committees at Children’s Colorado. Patrick’s research work centers on using clinical IT and the EMR to further healthcare quality and patient safety, and he has written many articles, abstracts, and lectures on the subject. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a BSE in Chemical Engineering and an MD. He fulfilled his residency in Anesthesiology at the University of California, San Francisco and his fellowship training was performed in pediatric anesthesiology at the University of Colorado.
Scott Raymond is the Associate CIO at Centura Health with responsibility for Applications and Infrastructure.
Developing new and innovative solutions. Providing big-picture plans and strategies. Implementing complex clinical, business, and technical initiatives. These are just some of Scott’s strengths. With almost two decades of healthcare experience ranging from hands-on clinical to strategic operations, Scott possesses the unique ability to understand how healthcare leadership impacts patient care. Scott’s areas of expertise include thinking strategically, planning with vision, leading and managing staff, and spearheading creative and unexpected solutions. Before coming to Centura Scott was the Executive Director of Innovation & Technology for MemorialCare. Scott recently conceived of, developed, and built a 3,500-square-foot innovation and testing lab capable of running a 2,000-bed hospital. Results-focused, he specializes in identifying new and better solutions. Scott provides expertise in contract negotiations, technology, cyber security, and clinical informatics. He’s implemented Epic at six hospitals, held board seats at multiple healthcare and technology companies, and provided clinical expertise to a variety of healthcare start-ups.
Scott holds a Masters degrees in Healthcare Administration and Informatics and holds a Bachelor’s degree in nursing. Scott continues to maintain an active nursing license and is ITIL, Lean Leader, and Facilitative Leadership Certified. anesthesiology at the University of Colorado.
Steve is excited to return to the CHIMSS board this year. Steve has served 8 years on the board as Membership and Sponsor chair. Steve is a Sales Director covering the western United States with Commvault, which is a data management expert company that allows customers to protect, secure, and use their data to gain value for their organization. He has been in the industry for 27 years and serving healthcare for the last 10 years.

MariJo is currently the ACIO/Vice President of Application Services at the University of Colorado Health and has responsibility for the UCHealth Affiliate Program, Ancillary and Clinical Support Applications, Integration and Interface Development, Image Management, Telehealth and Clinical Engineering. MariJo started as a medical technologist in the laboratory (more years ago than she would like to admit). She transitioned into healthcare information technology after realizing she wanted to have a broader impact which resulted in time at Cerner, Pyxis, Cincinnati Children’s, Albany Medical Center and Poudre Valley Health System. Experience includes IT strategy, general management, application implementations, day to day operations and support, vendor relationship management, P&L responsibility, contract negotiations, recruiting and sustaining strong teams. MariJo completed a Masters degree in Medical Informatics from Northwestern University in 2011.
Brian Levy, MD
Dr. Levy is an executive Healthcare Physician with deep expertise in creating software and content. He is passionate about improving the delivery of healthcare for patients, improving their outcomes, and achieving semantic interoperability of their records. As the Chief Medical Officer, he helped lead Health Language from a healthcare IT startup to successful acquisition. He has deep expertise in the use of terminologies to achieve interoperability in the provider, payer, and government sectors. He currently serves as an invited member on the HIMSS HIE and Interoperability Committee. Dr. Levy continues to practice medicine as well using use the latest Telehealth technology in delivering every day patient care.
Jackie Luchsinger is a healthcare executive advisor and adjunct faculty skilled in informatics, healthcare operations, and healthcare performance improvement consulting and coaching. Jackie has consulted with over 400 hospitals across the United States and Canada and specializes in clinical and operational performance improvement, care coordination and optimization of clinical information technology. Jackie holds a Masters in Nursing Administration, Masters in Business Administration, GE Six Sigma Black Belt, a current RN license and is completing a PhD in Health Care Systems at the University of Colorado.
Bonny Roberts is the Director of IT Portfolio & Relationship Management for the Business at Centura Health where she works with HR, finance, Marketing, Legal, Supply Chain, Rev Cycle to coordinate the right solution to the biggest problems. Beginning her career in healthcare IT as Yale New Haven Hospital's Administrative Fellow, she went on to cut her teeth in the Colorado's startup world with the Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX) where she spent four years as a product manager innovating healthcare ecommerce supply chain. Bonny went on to facilitate clinician-driven IT project prioritization, custom application development and the implementation of Epic Systems at The Ohio State Medical Center. In 2010, she returned to Colorado to join Aventura where she drove implementation, customer support, account management and, for a time, sales operations, and marketing. After Aventura, she led customer experience for Diameter Health, an intelligent clinical data refinement solution in the interoperability space. Bonny is passionate about furthering the growth of HIT activity along the Front Range and its impact on Colorado. She lives in Superior where she can be found hiking with her dogs and family.
Bobbie Kite, PhD
Dr. Bobbie Kite (PhD, Public Health, University of Texas at Houston; MHS, Health Sciences in Emergency and Disaster Management, Touro University) is an Associate Professor and the Academic Director of the Healthcare Management Program at University College, University of Denver. Before working at DU, she was jointly appointed in the Department of Biomedical Informatics and the Ohio State University Health Plan at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center. Dr. Kite’s research brings knowledge in population health informatics and competency based education within the field of health data analytics and informatics.
Amy Feaster, CHCIO Eligible, CPHIMS
Professional Development Chair
Amy Feaster is the Vice President of Information Technology for Children’s Hospital Colorado. Children’s Hospital Colorado is recognized as one of the nation’s top 10 Children’s hospitals. Children’s Hospital Colorado has been awarded the prestigious Davies Award of Excellence for utilizing healthcare IT to achieve significant improvements in patient outcomes. Children’s has also received the Most Wired Award multiple years in a row. Amy has been with Children’s since February of 2018. Prior to joining Children’s, Amy was Vice President of Information Technology for Centura Health which is a 17 hospital IDN supporting facilities in Colorado and Western Kansas. Under Amy’s leadership, all Centura hospitals achieved HIMSS Stage 7 as well as the HIMSS Davies award and was one of the first Epic customers to achieve 10 Stars in the Epic Gold Stars program. Amy is the board chair for South Metro Health Alliance and serves on the board of the Colorado HIMSS Chapter.
Natalie Tishkowski is an IT account executive with over 15 years of experience in healthcare. Natalie started in radiology and cardiology with Hitachi Medical Systems and GE Healthcare. Her passion for technology led her to Fujifilm Medical Systems, as Director of Medical Informatics. She spent time helping major healthcare systems across the West with workflow improvements and overall simplification of their IT environment. Currently, Natalie is with NetApp, a cloud computing software company, and is part of the healthcare team. In her off time, she enjoys hiking, skiing and youth sports with her son, daughter and husband, as well as daily runs with her dog, Bo.
John Schultz, MD, FACS, CPHIMS
Dr. Schultz is a General & Trauma Surgeon and the Physician Advisor to Clinical Informatics at Vail Health in Vail, CO. He engages Clinical IT teams in the evaluation, design, and implementation of various Clinical IT projects. He has strong interest in Data Analytics, Interoperability, and improving use and usability. He also serves as the Physician Advisor for Case Management and Utilization Review, and as Trauma Medical Director. Dr. Schultz holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College. He graduated from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and completed his General Surgery Residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. He has been practicing medicine in Colorado for over fifteen years.
Elizabeth Brumbaugh, PMP
Elizabeth has served on the Colorado HIMSS board for the past two years. She is an experienced Information Technology Project Manager, currently at Centura Health, with a demonstrated history of working in the hospital & health care industry. Elizabeth is skilled in Microsoft Excel, Teamwork, Leadership, and Marketing. Strong information technology professional with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) focused in Business Administration from Biola University Crowell School of Business.
Minal is a healthcare IT leader with over 20 years of experience in healthcare organizations, management consulting and software start-up arenas within the provider and payer sectors. Minal has a strong focus on strategic and operational innovations to improve the overall health of our community. Minal serves as the Director of Affiliate Services for University of Colorado Health. Prior to UCHealth, Minal served as an Executive Leadership Advisor for Bluetree Network, IT Director at Centura Health and held various roles at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Minal has experience in operational and project management, program direction as well as IT strategy and planning. Minal holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida and a Master of Public Health (focused in Healthcare Management) from Emory University. In her spare time Minal enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, hiking, biking, running, basically anything outdoors and cooking.
Holly Hockemeier is the Regional Vice President of Provider Solutions Sales for Nuance Communications. This is her second year on the Board for Colorado HIMSS as Secretary. Holly has over 15 years of experience representing healthcare technology solutions, Electronic Health Records, Revenue Cycle and Artificial Intelligence-driven technology. Holly has worked with health systems throughout the country including strategic National Accounts. Holly’s team in the mid-west for Nuance Communications represents artificial intelligence powered applications deeply embedded in EHR workflows. Holly and her team are responsible for ensuring that all health systems in the mid-west are aware of Nuance technology and that Nuance is aligning with their strategic initiatives. A Colorado Native, Holly holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Colorado. Holly balances her professional life with a focus on her two young daughters, husband, family and friends, staying healthy through regular workouts, yoga, traveling and enjoying everything Colorado has to offer.
David Whitling, MD
Physician Board Member
David has been a practicing Emergency Medicine physician at Boulder Community Health for the past 11 years. Starting in 2012, he began consulting for Meditech and served as an implementation consultant focusing on the ED. He is currently and has served as the CMIO at Boulder Community health since 2014 and is passionate about workflow design, patient safety, and the interaction between physicians and technology.
CT Lin, MD
Physician Member at Large
CT Lin MD is CMIO at UCHealth. In 2016, UCHealth achieved HIMSS Stage 7, indicating highest achievement in EHR effectiveness. He is Professor of Medicine a University of Colorado School of Medicine, and board-certified in Internal Medicine and Clinical Informatics. He sees internal medicine patients and also facilitates workshops on "Physician-patient communication to improve health outcomes" for students, residents and practicing physicians. His national publications and talks include: Physician Adoption of IT, EHR Usability, Online patient communication and patient accessible records with Open Test Results and Open Notes. His national awards include "Healthcare IT innovator" and "Electronic Physician of the Year." He leads a team of 24 physician informaticians. "We improve physician and team resilience and effectiveness by building world-class relationships and innovative tools."

Tamara is a Health Information Technology Executive with a focus on strategic and operational functions of applications, Health Information Exchange, development of clinically integrated networks, and visioning for where organizations are heading. Tamara serves as the Chief Information Officer for Bozeman Health and also has responsibility for Retail Health. Tamara has over 20 years of healthcare experience, which includes clinical, operations, imaging and over 15 years of focused healthcare information technology work. Tamara has held numerous positions on CHIMSS over the past 10+ years, including President, Past President, President-Elect, and Secretary. Tamara is also very active in CHIME and with HIMSS at the National level serving on the Innovations Committee and as a Reviewer for HIMSS National Conferences.

Jeffrey Pelot is the Chief Information Officer the Denver Health and Hospital, Colorado’s largest safety net health care systems. Mr. Pelot has been recognized as a leader in healthcare technology and most recently been awarded the CIO Top 100 Award from CIO Magazine and Computerworld’s Premier 100 award in recognition of his leadership for integrating advanced technology solutions in healthcare. Mr. Pelot is a Certified Healthcare CIO (CHIME) HIMSS Fellow and currently serves on the Colorado Chapter of HIMSS. He has authored numerous articles and given many presentations on various aspects of Healthcare Information Technology and obtaining value from the technology investment. Under Mr. Pelot’s leadership Denver Health has grown into a technology innovator that drives enterprise changes in workflow and process that increase efficiencies, reduce cost, enhance the way care is delivered and how quality outcomes are measured.

Dana Moore serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Children’s Hospital Colorado. Formerly Mr. Moore was at Centura Health where he also was in the position as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Dana has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare financial management, and he will play a significant role in helping reach the goals of Children’s Hospital Colorado Reimagine 2020 strategic plan.
Michael Jefferies, FHIMSS

Michael Jefferies serves as Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Boulder Community Health where he is responsible for implementing technology solutions that advance provider capabilities and operational efficiency. Michael joined Boulder Community Health in 2016 and has diverse work setting experience including acute care hospitals, consulting, healthcare IT outsourcing, and working for a leading Healthcare IT vendor. Prior to his current role Michael was Vice President of Information Systems at Longmont United Hospital in Boulder County, Colorado and previously worked at ACS/Xerox and McKesson providing IT solutions to hospitals across the country. He is especially passionate about improving the patient experience and giving providers tools to improve the quality of patient care. Michael holds an MBA in Healthcare Administration from the University of Colorado and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado. Michael is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and holds the designation of Certified Healthcare CIO from CHIME as well as certifications as a PMP and CPHIMS. When not serving the community professionally Michael enjoys rock climbing, volunteering in mental healthcare, rebuilding classic motorcycles, and enjoying life in Colorado with his wife and two daughters.

Judy McCarthy is Chief Technology Director and Chief Information Security Officer for National Jewish Health. She is responsible for the overall design, implementation, operations and support activities for the comprehensive computing infrastructure and technology of the organization. She also leads the business application team and is responsible for the organization’s information security posture, strategy and HIPAA compliance.
Ms. McCarthy has more than 30 years of healthcare IT experience, focusing on technology, applications, security and IT leadership. She has held several positions leading IT teams in their journey of providing clinicians with the tools and applications to improve the health and well- being of patients and residents of Colorado.
Ms. McCarthy is an active board member for the Colorado Chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (CHIMSS/HIMSS), is an active member of HIMSS (previously serving on several HIMSS committees) and the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). She has participated in several speaking engagements on topics such as meaningful use, big data and cyber security. She holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Information Systems from Regis University in Denver and a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Ball State University in Muncie, IN.
